Are Fanny Packs REALLY Back?

March 6, 2010 – 10:14 am
I have asked this question before, but seeing that Marc Jacobs featured a print version on his Spring 2010 runway I'll ask again: Are fanny packs (or waist packs, or whatever you call 'em) really going to be in style? I've never owned one and I really don't think I want to change that - but what do you think?

Wii Has a New Project Runway Game

March 6, 2010 – 10:14 am
If you're sick of your brother or boyfriend always hogging the Wii with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 or Mario Galaxy or some shoot-em-up game, here's something that hits stores today that might be worth checking out: Project Runway for Wii. I haven't tried it so I can't recommend yay or nay, but any game that features Heidi, Tim and making clothes has gotta be OK, right? If you are so inclined, you can pick it up at your local Wal-Mart for $39.99. Photo © Atari. Cool New Website: Swimspot.com

March 6, 2010 – 10:14 am
I'm about to go on a little vacay in search of warm weather, and although I can't wait to hit the beach - I hate shopping for swimsuits. Thankfully, I came across a new website called Swimspot.com that has loads of suits from brands like Hurley, Guess, Reef and Tommy Hilfiger. But unlike a traditional e-tailer, this site has a feature called the Bikini Builder (pictured) where you can mix-and-match bikini tops and bottoms like a virtual paper doll. If anything, I just like playing with it to make crazy mis-matched combinations! Photo © Swimspot.com. Living With Multiple Sclerosis…As A Teen

February 28, 2010 – 8:57 pm
As someone who grew up with two close friends whose parents had Multiple Sclerosis, I was under the false impression that it was a disease that only affected adults. The truth is, this misconception can lead to misdiagnosis in both children and young adults, allowing their MS to go untreated for years. Sixteen-year-old Jaclyn Natoli from Cedar Grove, NJ is one of those rare cases. This cheerleading high-schooler has been battling MS since she was ten and teamed up with the Montel Williams Foundation, and the National MS Society to help raise awareness. What exactly is MS? How does it effect you? Multiple Sclerosis is an auto-immune disease that attacks your nervous system. My doctors explained it like this: picture a functioning lamp -- you can easily turn it on and off and it works well. Then, one night a mouse gets in the lamp and chews up the wires (like MS ...

Bar Method

February 28, 2010 – 8:57 pm
The Wonderbar is multi-tasking facial bar that promises to perform wonders on your skin--no matter what skin type. The bar contains natural Heilmoor Clay and Chlorey'nahre, an algae extract which works with the clay to cleanse, tone, moisturize, tighten, balance, and soothe your skin.  Laurel loves it--but does it work? Well, I've been using the Wonderbar religiously for the past 2 weeks and thus far the results have been AMAZING!I lathered up with my bar, let it set for 5 minutes, then washed it off, and immediately my skin felt super clean and baby smooth. My pores look smaller, and my skin is more even, less oily, and just healthier-looking in general. Although I do have a quick warning to all those with clogged pores: your face will go through a 'healing crisis' where your skin detoxes and purges all the toxins from underneath your skin. For me, this meant ...

March Madness for Beauty Junkies

February 28, 2010 – 8:57 pm
I know March is the official start of spring, but let's face it: It's still waaay too chilly outside to break out my spring wardrobe anytime soon, which means we're still in the dead of winter as far as I'm concerned. As we drag ourselves through the final weeks of biting winds and snow showers (at least here in NYC), Tennessee-based beauty emporium The Cosmetic Market wants to make it a lot easier. Staring on March 1st, they're giving Teen Vogue readers an exclusive 20% discount off of purchases made on TheCosmeticMarket.com for an ENTIRE MONTH! With such a great lineup of beauty brands featured on the site (Cargo, OPI, Urban Decay, and Philosophy, to name just a few), I think my attitude towards March is changing... Yes, it may not be spring quite yet, but it IS the perfect time to build up your beauty arsenal!Enter the discount code ...

Loving Liberty!

February 28, 2010 – 8:57 pm
It seems that I, along with pretty much everyone else in the Teen Vogue office, can't get enough Liberty Print. The pretty flowers are popping up EVERYWHERE, due to the storied fabric house's recent collaborations (MAC and Target to name a few). But I've been obsessing lately over my Barbwire Rose Necklace from The Docent. I'm really REALLY into the barbwire girly combo, and am trying to talk myself out of also buying the Thorn Rose Necklace... Looking towards fall though, I KNOW I won't be able to resist these Duster bracelets. They remind me of really pretty caterpillars and are just too cute! Find it all at Thedocent.com.
