Ah, look at that luminous skin and those high cheekbones--SO GORGEOUS!! We at Teen Vogue are big fans of twenty-year-old Chinese model Shu-Pei Qin and it appears that Maybelline New York shares that sentiment. The cosmetic giant has signed her on as its newest spokesmodel, bringing even more diversity to its current lineup of famous faces, which includes Christy Turlington and Erin Wasson.  I have to admit . . . I'm a little bit of a health nut. I eat pretty clean (exceptions are made for cobbler and pizza), I exercise regularly, and I always take my vitamins. I have spent eight years loving teenfashionista and enjoying every minute of it. I wrote about my life through high school and college, and looking back is sort of like flipping through a diary (that just so happens to have a lot of fashion). I wrote about going to my first fashion week, about landing my first internship, about writing my first book, and about all five hundred pairs of ballet flats that I've obsessed about over the years.Now that I'm 23 and living the life I spent so many years dreaming about, I feel like I've reached a new chapter.I'm still fascinated with teen culture, and I will probably subscribe to Teen Vogue until I can just pass the subscription on to my daughter, but my interests include so many things that don't really fit here anymore (like skipping dinner for dessert ...

I have a pretty great purse collection, mostly vintage Coach finds that are sweet, stylish, and super structured. I love them all, but I've reached a place in my life when they're just not doing it for me.With a daily commute that requires necessities like umbrellas, books, and backup flats, I need a carry-all, one of those magic Mary Poppins bags that can stash an entire extra closet and still look cute.Another requisite? It can't be too pricey since I just dropped big bucks on a ticket to Missouri for Labor Day. This leather tote is a top contender, but do you have any other ideas? I'm reluctant to buy it full price, since I know from experience that Gap slashes prices without rhyme or reason.

Blue Skies

I wore one of my favorite skirts in my whole wardrobe yesterday. I ran out of time to snap a pic yesterday morning (what can I say? It was a Monday). Then, the second I set foot out of my office, a downpour happened, catching my umbrella-less and blocks from the subway. By the time I made it home, my hair was soaked, my shirt was clingy, and my silver skirt was see through.I'll just have to wear it again soon... on a day when rain isn't in the forecast. Costume Change

When it comes down to it, I'm a huge homebody. Give me a mug of tea, a stack of magazines, a laptop and I'm happy.But I'm a little bit of a contradiction because at the same time, my favorite nights are those that require costume changes. Last night was one of those nights.I wanted to toughen up my floral dress with my newest (and tallest) wedges, but I knew I'd be walking at least ten blocks both ways, so this comfortable cork pair was perfect. I had an awesome night with friends in Chelsea, but I'm so happy to be spending my rainy Sunday with the September Elle and too much coffee.(dress, Urban Outfitters. wedges, Nine West. clutch, vintage Coach.)
