Spotted: The Cast Of Gossip Girl Munching Popcorn, Indiana

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
Call me crazy, but just like there was a bacon craze starting a few years ago, and then a cupcake frenzy, I predict popcorn hysteria to hit any moment. I feel like lately I've seen a slight increase in fancy popcorn brands at the grocery store, which is fine by me because I love it! (I actually not too long ago got this super-neat old-school popcorn popper because I refuse to own a microwave, and I'm totally obsessed with it). Adding more evidence to my case is Popcorn, Indiana, an awesome line of healthy popcorn that the cast of Gossip Girl allegedly can't get enough of. Once a month, the cast orders cases of both the Famous Original Kettle Corn and Movie Theater Popcorn. My personal favorite is Cinnamon Sugar, which has yet to hit the shelves (and made me lose any shred of self-control). The best part is because ...

Winter Olympic Countdown!

While not a huge fan of winter, I HAVE always been a big fan of winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, skating) and the winter Olympics. There's a chance I'll be blogging and tweeting live from the Olympics in Vancouver (fingers crossed!)... But in the meantime, get psyched for the games with this sneak peek of Under Armour Olympian Lindsey Vonn prepping!

Get Mila’s Look

Mila Kunis is one of those starlets that has universal appeal--guys love her because she's funny, casual-cool, and, oh yeah, gorgeous, girls love her because she's down to earth, fashionable, and, oh yeah, gorgeous! Tousled Tips From Charles Baker Strahan

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
While the rest of the world freaks out over Blake Lively's brushed out curls, I find myself longing for wild and loose waves. I adore the piecey crazy look, but achieving it is not as easy as it seems... So, I asked Herbal Essences' celebrity stylist Charles Baker Strahan (who has glamorized Leighton Meester, Whitney Port, and Jessica Szohr, among others) for his top tips for getting wonderfully wavy do."After washing, prep damp hair to create a foundation for the style. For thick hair, try the Tousle Me Softly Mousse and the Finishing Touch Cream. Finer haired girls may prefer the Spray Gel - be sure to hold it back from the head so it casts a wide net for more control. Comb product through hair with a wide-tooth comb.Lean your head to the side and blow-dry with a basket diffuser to create more volume in the middle and ...

Through The Looking Glass

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
I can't wait to fall down the rabbit hole and see Alice in Wonderland on the big screen, but undoubtedly more magical than the upcoming Tim Burton-produced film is OPI's new aptly titled Mad as a Hatter nail polish (second from left). This steely black base mixed with shiny colorful glitter is so enchanting that I want to snap up a dozen bottles of this shimmery elixir. Have you spotted this in stores yet? I sadly have not!

Lovely Lady Pumps

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
Maybe it's the new year or maybe because I'm almost a college graduate or maybe because I realize I'm going to be a "grown up" in a matter of months, but all of the sudden, I have completely warmed to the idea of wearing heels. I still believe that, compared to ballet flats, heels are inconvenient and uncomfortable. At the same time, they sure make a girl feel glamorous. These are my dream heels. Round toe, tall heel, and the sweetest bow to ever grace such a sassy pair of shoes. I really don't need another pair of black shoes, but I can't quite wrap my mind around wearing a pair of ivory pumps. What color of tights would I wear? What kind of outfit? How would you wear them?

Bundled Up in Boots

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
Since returning from Texas, most of my time has been devoted to cuddling up under a loads of blankets, watching the snow fall, and reading books (a nice mix of Fitzgerald and Twilight). As nice as it is to wear pajamas for days on end, I've been dying to debut my new boots and finally had the chance last night.I went to dinner with my parents to celebrate my last weekend at home, then met a few high school friends for drinks (hi, Jessica!). I'm usually reluctant to wear brown with black, but I liked the way the cognac color of the boots looked against my all-black outfit. Plus, the long sleeve dress, thick leggings, and high boots were an effective defense against below-zero temperatures. Brrr!dress, Old Navy. leggings, Madewell. tassel necklace, vintage. boots, Coach. purple nails, OPI Sapphire in the Snow. hair, just-out-of-the-shower and unstyled.

Rites of Spring

January 13, 2010 – 6:59 pm
Swear to wear those cute sequin shorts and short, full skirts right now, even in the snow and ice (with a blazer and tights).J. Crew's Style Resolution #3 could not be more timely. When I popped into the store at Houston's Galleria Mall last week, I fell for this impossibly adorable bright blue skirt despite it being entirely too springy for our current winter weather. It was $40, and though I would have preferred the seasonless dark chambray shade, I loved the fit (and the pockets! and the price!) so much that I couldn't pass up it up and nabbed the last one in my size in this cheery color. Sadly enough, the skirt is nowhere to be found online. Come on, J. Crew, keep up.chiffon-trimmed cardigan and lace camisole, Gap. floral print scarf, Old Navy. straightened hair, my new pink Chi iron.
