Color Real: Creating Nailpolish with CND!

I recently visited the Creative Nail Design Studios, where as little as two weeks before fashion week, color-mixing masters receive designers’ Inspirations. From there they create custom nail colors, textures and finishes for the runway. For fall, the biggest trends are light shimmery blues and pinks that kept an edge with just a hint of black. Also, be on the lookout for lovely dove grays (as seen at Karen Walker), and velvety, matte finishes. You can play with the look yourself before these colors hit the stores by mixing your own blend! Kristina Baune of CND recommends starting with a bottle of creamy white polish, and dripping in whatever colors you want to mix.
